The Student Conservation Association (SCA) and Riverview Park have teamed up to celebrate National Public Lands Day (NPLD) at Riverview Park on Saturday, September 25th! We welcome SCA alumni, family, and friends to come out to help to restore this local Pittsburgh park.
WHEN: Saturday, September 25th, 9:00am to 12:00pm. Registration and morning snacks beginning at 8:30am with welcome remarks at 9:00am. Project concludes at 12:00pm with lunch to follow.
WHERE: Riverview Park, 159 Riverview Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15214. Parking and public transportation details coming soon.
WHAT: SCA alumni, family, and friends will restore eroded sections of Riverview's trail network, remove invasive species, and other work. Volunteers will also assist with the general maintenance and litter clean-up of the park.
BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Please bring your own filled reusable water bottles. The event will take place rain or shine so please dress for the weather!
PROVIDED: All project supplies (tools, gloves, etc.), morning snacks, and lunch are provided.
